Being a 100% volunteer organization, every aspect of fulfilling the Conservancy’s mission depends on the help of volunteers. Volunteers are assigned to committees based on their interests and expertise. Text your interest to the numbers below and we will get back to you.

  • Office manager and clerical support
  • Media management (Facebook, Instagram, website, print)
  • Public relations and marketing
  • Creating educational programming and activities for children and young adults

Land Management

  • Mowing the lawns, hedge trimming, and tree maintenance
  • Trail maintenance
  • Re-establishing the original kitchen, farmhouse, and outbuilding gardens
  • Rebuilding the existing grape arbor
  • Coordinating green bag and trash pickups with the City’s schedule

Facilities Management

  • Rye Meeting House visitor greeter
  • Setting up and breaking down events
  • Minor repairs to buildings, fencing, and equipment
  • Overseeing capital improvements and Scout projects

Historical Oversight

  • Assessment and cataloging of historic and scientific artifacts
  • Designing and curating educational exhibits on the property
  • Establishing permanent markings locating the William Voris residence on the archaeological site
